Living in His Word p2
I previously wrote about being in His word looking out to interpret the world, rather than being out side of His word looking in to try and interpret His word to fit the world.
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
In fact it was Jesus in the beginning that spoke everything into existence. So here’s my thought today,
Colossians 2:6 As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him.
Walking in Him, in His word or in Him who is the word!
2 Corinthians 3:3 clearly you are an epistle of Christ, ministered by us, written not with ink but by the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of flesh, that is, of the heart.
Corinthians tells us that this letter, these words contained in this letter aren’t just laws written on stone, no no no they are inscribed in the very innermost core of who we are in Him, in fact it’s no longer you who lives but Christ who lives in you. This person you have now become is totally orientated by this word.
Colossians 1:10 that you may walk worthy of the Lord (of the Word) fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; (of the Word)
This world will only make sense as we see it through His eyes, the eyes of faith as we continue to look unto to Jesus the author and finisher of our faith.
