Food for Thought

Good morning church, I have always said that it is important in what ever you say that you should always put a handle on it, that is to say you give people something to grab onto, something to take home and apply, I was a little amazed when over the last week or so in looking on face book for the engagements on each post, some under 100 and some over with one acceptation.
I wrote a post with a prayer example that we could use to pray over ourselves and others, that post engagement went to 243 at last count.
That being said my prayer is that we would all take hold of His word as we read it and apply it to our now.

As we all, the world and the church walk through these challenging times it seems that what can be shaken is being shaken, but you and I stand in an unshakable kingdom.

But here’s the thing, listen to the apostle Paul as he speaks from 1 Timothy 4:10 “For Demas has forsaken me, having loved this present world…”
Now if this present world is shaking and unstable then holding onto it is only going to shake you. As a builder I have used compactors and jack hammers and equipment designed to shake, let me tell you this and it’s very simple when you use them you “SHAKE”

Proverbs chapter 1 speaks of the allure of the world and those who follow after it, verse 32 say’s this, “For the turning away of the simple will slay them, And the complacency of fools will destroy them.”
In other words, if we connect ourselves with the world, their choices and decisions will bring us down due to our collaboration with them.

So today pray this as a prayer, by saying “I will” in the appropriate places.

Pro 3:5-6 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.
