Familiarity & Faith

It seems that as we continue down the path of life we accumulate experiences, some good and some not so good, some that are not our fault and others that well… perhaps I could have made a better choice.

But when we allow those experience to become too familiar to us, too predictable we allow our selves to be locked into the past. Our expectations and tomorrows are subject to what was.

Where we are not of those who are subject to the past, Paul declares “Hey I know I’m not perfect, but one thing I must do is forget the former things because they will seek to control the latter things.”

Yes and amen, if familiarity locks us into our past then faith locks us into our future.

Today make a declaration before God to be a person of FAITH and HOPE.
