Walking in the Light
1 John 1:5b declares that “God is light and in Him there is no darkness”. If we continue to walk in what we know is wrong we are not walking in the light or in His truth but in darkness.
My friends, the light of God is His revealed word, as it declares in Psalm 119:105, Your word is a lamp unto my feet and a light to my path.
As we walk down the path of life we must understand that our foot steps are subject to His word our thoughts and our actions are all subject to His word.
When Jesus said “You are the light of the world, a city on a hill” it has nothing to do with your good looks or countenance but everything to do with your ability to carry His word and live it out. His light in you works to establish faith in the hearts of others that they may believe and be established. Romans 10:17 tells us that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.
